Glazed, sprinkled or chocolate? Vote to decide who has the best donuts in Columbus

Nothing is sweeter in the morning than a fresh, warm glazed donut.

Many of us have fond memories of the fried dough that has grown with us from enjoying the treat as a kid to being the popular co-worker who occasionally picks up a dozen for the office meeting.

From small, locally owned shops to larger franchises, Columbus has a variety of donut and coffee shops that residents can visit. The Ledger-Enquirer is on a quest to find out which shop is the city’s favorite.

Here are the donut shops featured in this poll.

  • Columbus’ Best Donuts is a locally owned shop that opened earlier this month on Wynnton Road and offers handmade donuts daily.
  • Golden Donut is locally owned and was founded in 1983. The shop offers fresh donuts with a yeast base.
  • Veri Best Donut Co. has served Columbus since 1954, and the locally shop is now located on Broadway.
  • Krispy Kreme is a national franchise known for its Original Glazed Doughnut and “Hot Now” light.
  • Dunkin’ has served Americans coffee and donuts since it was founded in Massachusetts in 1950.

This poll is not scientific, and you can vote as many times as you would like between now and when the poll closes next Monday at noon.
