The Farm House in Ellerslie closes restaurant and reopens as event center
The Farmhouse Restaurant in Ellerslie has officially closed its doors as a restaurant and is transitioning into a full-time event facility, according to its Facebook page.
However, for those afraid they’ll never taste their favorite Farm House foods again, their food can still be ordered for pick up at The Farm House or Bluebelle in Columbus, according to their Facebook page.
“It’s not goodbye but it is huge shift from what we have come to know and love. We look forward to continuing to serve you and your family, as we have done for the past 42 years,” The Farm House said in its post, adding the changeover was official as of May 14.
“We appreciate your understanding as we move forward in this new season at The Farm House,” the post said.
They say there will be upcoming events for people to look forward to including seasonal events and new offerings.
Established in 1981, The Farm House was known for its southern traditional cooking, including “the best squash casserole you’ve ever put in your mouth,” according to its website.
Attempts to reach the owners of The Farm House were unsuccessful.
