This Columbus Walgreens location will soon be closing its doors permanently. Here’s when

A Columbus Walgreens is closing its doors permanently next month.

The retailer posted signs at its Wynnton Road location informing customers that it will close at 3 p.m. , April 8. Customers who pick up their prescriptions at the pharmacy can have them transferred to another Walgreens store, an employee informed the Ledger-Enquirer.

Prescription records are available at all Walgreens stores, a sign reads.

Last summer, CNN reported the retailer planned to close 450 stores worldwide, with 150 of them located in the United States. The company’s shares fell significantly in January after it cut its quarterly dividends nearly in half.

The Ledger-Enquirer reached out to Walgreens for comment, but has not received a response.
