The second Moe’s Southwest Grill in Columbus opens its doors Friday at 6516 Kitten Lake Drive in the Midland area’s Lakeside Village development.
It will be the place to go for Moe’s fans through Sunday, with the 5555 Whittlesey Blvd. restaurant at Columbus Park Crossing having closed temporarily on Monday for a week of remodeling. It should reopen this coming Monday.
Those venturing to the new Kitten Lake outlet will be able to take part in a charitable effort known as “pay what you want day” on Saturday. Proceeds will go to JDRF (formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and the West Central Georgia Regional Hospital Foundation.
The two Moe’s in Columbus are franchised and operated by Todd Pennington and Brack Rowe, who have five altogether and have been with the chain since 2002.
