TSYS ranks No. 11 on high-tech list; inks contract with FICO

Credit-card and payment processor TSYS is No. 11 on the latest 2014 FinTech Forward 100 list of the leading technology providers in the world.

The list, a collaboration between American Banker and the Bank Administration Institute, was released Thursday at a conference in Chicago. It appears in the Nov. 13 issue of American Banker.

The rankings are based on a company’s revenue derived from financial services technology.

Troy Woods, TSYS president and chief executive officer, in a statement called his firm’s ranking “an affirmation of the tremendous work of our team and the overall strength of TSYS.”

In a separate development, TSYS said it has signed a licensing agreement with San Diego-based FICO, the predictive analytics and decision management software firm.

FICO is perhaps best known publicly for its “FICO Score,” the standard measure of consumer credit risk in the United States.

The deal with FICO is part of a larger rollout of analytics products that TSYS is preparing to launch in 2015.
