Aflac’s Teresa White, Laree Daniel among ‘50 Most Powerful Women in Corporate America'

Black Enterprise magazine has unveiled its annual list of the “50 Most Powerful Women in Corporate America,” and two Aflac executives are among those honored.

Teresa White, president of Aflac U.S., and Laree Daniel, the firm’s chief administrative officer, are among the high-powered female executives included in the list that appears in the February edition of Black Enterprise.

White graces the cover of the monthly magazine, tucked between Thasunda Brown Duckett, chief executive officer of JP Morgan Chase’s Chase Auto Finance, and Alicia Boler-Davis, senior vice president of General Motors’ Global Connected Customer Experience.

“Our editorial team developed this list to not only celebrate the black female business elite, but to demonstrate that it requires unparalleled expertise and resilience to break through barriers that female executives continue to face today,” Earl “Butch” Graves Jr., president and CEO of Black Enterprise, said in a statement.

Black Enterprise said the top 50 on the list were chosen from thousands of candidates across several sectors, with the female executives having a direct hand in the “fiscal health and direction of their businesses.”

Those on the list were honored Wednesday as part of this week’s Women In Power Summit taking place in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Aflac Chairman and CEO Dan Amos expressed pride in White and Daniel, saying the Columbus-based health and life insurer “is fortunate to have these talented women as part of our team, ensuring our customers are served with the utmost care.”
