Business

Games and a new bakery: These two businesses are coming to Columbus’ Whittlesey Blvd.

Two new businesses are opening on Whittlesey Boulevard in Columbus: Tous Les Jours, a French-Asian bakery, and Dave & Buster’s, a beloved arcade chain, have started setting up storefronts near Columbus Park Crossing.

Property managers at Columbus Park Crossing North and South have confirmed that both Dave & Buster’s and Tous Les Jours are not affiliated with their complex.

“It’s our neighbor,” Jared Kerker, the property manager for Columbus Park Crossing South, said.

Here is what’s known about Dave & Buster’s and Tours Les Jours so far.

Dave & Buster’s

Last week, a representative at Dave & Buster’s submitted a permit for a location at 5700 Whittlesey Blvd. The city has yet to approve it, according to the codes and inspections database. If approved, it will be next to a SONS Chevrolet dealership, which has already begun construction.

This Dave & Buster’s will be the chain’s first location in Columbus. The closest Dave & Buster’s otherwise is in McDonough, over 50 miles outside of the city.

Representatives from Dave & Buster’s did not respond to requests for comment prior to publication.

Tous Les Jours

Tous Les Jours has announced a new location opening near the Dave & Buster’s location. Banners announcing the bakery’s arrival were seen at 6589 Whittlesey Blvd., replacing what was formerly a Fazoli’s Italian restaurant.

No permit had been filed to the city of Columbus as of publication, but reconstruction and renovations inside the location have started.

Representatives from Tous Les Jours did not respond to requests for comment.
