Cybertruck owners beware. Tesla recalls hundreds of vehicles in GA

A recall has been issued for almost all Cybertrucks in the U.S.
A recall has been issued for almost all Cybertrucks in the U.S.

Safety regulators from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for nearly 46,000 Cybertrucks due to safety issues with an exterior panel.

The stainless steel cant rail can detach while driving, creating potential dangers for other drivers on the road. Tesla became aware of the problem earlier this year, and the recall covers all models manufactured between November 13, 2025 to February 27, 2025.

Tesla has promised to replace the panel free of charge, and owners will be notified by mail starting May 19, 2025.

The Cybertruck, which only became available in 2023, has been recalled eight times in the last 15 months, including a faulty electric inverter and acceleration pedals that were sticking to the trim.

How will this affect Georgia?

According to World Population Review, 22,000 Georgians drive Teslas with Cybertrucks, statistically making up about 3.8% of that group.

Although Cybertruck sightings in Georgia are still limited, the recent recalls could create problems for owners.

What should I do if I own a Cybertruck?

For one, you should listen out for unusual noises and inspect your vehicle for signs of any of the recalls. You can check the Kelly Blue Book website for more information about the recalls.

You may also check their vehicle’s recall status using Tesla’s customer service or online tools provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Once you receive notification, you can schedule a free repair.
