New store laces up for arrival in Columbus Park Crossing. What we know

A popular retailer plans to open a new store in Columbus.

Skechers, the global footwear brand headquartered in Manhattan Beach, California, will open a location at Columbus Park Crossing in early 2026, according to Jennifer Clay, vice president for corporate communications and marketing at Skechers.

The new store will be at 5555 Whittlesey Blvd, Suite 2350, taking over the former Conn’s HomePlus space. Conn’s HomePlus filed for bankruptcy in July 2024, resulting in the parent company closing all of its locations.

Clay declined to comment further for this story, citing the opening process being in early phases. Representatives at Columbus Park Crossing did not respond to the Ledger-Enquirer’s request for comment.
