Allen Whitley has been promoted to the position of private wealth adviser at Columbus Bank and Trust.
Whitley joined CB&T in 2010, serving in several positions during his tenure, most recently as manager of the bank's Bradley Park area branch.
In his new role as private wealth adviser, Whitley will manage a portfolio of high net worth clients, the company said. He will focus on helping them in the areas of banking and lending, retirement planning, personal trust and estate services, investment management and insurance services.

"He is a rising star at CB&T and has done an outstanding job over the last six years in the retail branch network. Whitley received an MBA from Auburn University and a bachelor's degree in finance from Georgia Southern University. He currently serves on the board of directors of Open Door Community House. He resides in Phenix City with his wife, Emily.
