Delta Data of Columbus named among Top 40 technology companies in Georgia
Delta Data, a Columbus company that helps firms manage mutual funds, has been selected one of the top technology businesses in Georgia.
The Technology Association of Georgia named 25-year-old Delta Data one of the "Top 40 Innovative Technology Companies." All of the other honorees are located in the Atlanta area.
"The 2016 Top 40 finalists are shining examples of what makes our state such a hotbed for technology and we applaud them for standing out as leaders in Georgia’s technology community," Tino Mantella, the association’s president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
More than 100 companies applied to be included on the technology list. The association has more than 30,000 members across the state. Delta Data and the others will be honored at the Georgia Technology Summit in Atlanta on March 17.
Delta Data CEO Whitfield Athey, in a statement, noted this is the second time his firm has made the Top 40 list.
"We’ve garnered an extraordinary pairing of financial knowledge leaders and programming experts who together have automated the complexities of mutual funds data management," he said. "The result is a proactive solution for our customers that reduces risk and increases profitability."
