Coronavirus updates: Georgia cases continue to grow, plus other news for March 21

Georgia Coronavirus cases continue to grow

COVID-19 cases in the state of Georgia are now at 485, as of 7 p.m. Friday, according to the Georgia Department of Health. The department updates their Coronavirus list two times a day and the number is expected to rise with each release.

There are also 14 deaths in the state due to Coronavirus. Fulton still leads the state in Coronavirus cases at 88 and Muscogee County still only has one confirmed Coronavirus case.

Fort Benning further limits on post access

Fort Benning has suspended the Trusted Traveler Program, limited access to active or retired military ID cardholders and placed more restrictions due to COVID-19.

Until further notice, individuals are unable to eat at a restaurant on post, or visit a trainee or permanent resident and more.

Troup County COVID-19 cases rise to 3

As of noon Saturday, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in Muscogee County, though there is one new case of the coronavirus in Troup County.
