Lee County has 21 confirmed coronavirus cases. Here’s a breakdown of Alabama by county

The City of Phenix City has taken several precautionary measures starting Monday as novel coronavirus cases in Alabama continue to rise.

The City of Phenix City will close the Utilities Lobby to the general public beginning Monday. All other city buildings will have limited access to the public. Revenue collection windows, located in the lobby, will also close.

During this closure, business that need to renew their business licenses may email their renewal forms to revenue@phenixcityal.us. Businesses wishing to apply for a new business license during this time may download a business license application, and email the completed form to revenue@phenixcityal.us.

Lee County, Alabama, has 21 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Monday afternoon, up four cases from noon Monday.

State health officials report there are now 215 confirmed cases statewide and no deaths related to the coronavirus.

The state reports 2,321 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by state and private labs as of 11:30 a.m. EST Monday. However, private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
