Re-opening date set for two Columbus-area Waffle Houses that closed due to coronavirus

Two Waffle House locations in the Chattahooche Valley that closed due to the coronavirus are scheduled to re-open at midnight on Tuesday.

According to the Waffle House store locator page, both the Bradley Park Drive location, 1646A Bradley Park Drive, as well as one Phenix City location, 3603 Highway 280/431 North, will re-open on April 7 at midnight. Over 400 Waffle House locations were closed throughout the United States due to the coronavirus in the month of March.

The Bradley Park Drive Waffle House closed March 24. Signs were posted in the window encouraging patrons to go to nearby locations instead.

Waffle House’s social media pages first started announcing how many stores were closed using the hashtag #WaffleHouseIndexRed. The initial post got over 1,000 retweets on Twitter and over 7,000 shares on Facebook.

Until the two locations re-open, customers are asked to visit other open Waffle House locations and call ahead to place to-go orders to limit the amount of time spent in the restaurant.
