Lee County has 53 confirmed coronavirus cases. Here’s a breakdown of Alabama by county
Lee County, Alabama, has 53 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 9 a.m. EST Saturday, up six cases from 10:30 a.m. EST Friday.
State health officials report there are now 641 confirmed cases statewide. Alabama’s first death related to COVID-19 occurred Wednesday, according to a statement from Governor Kay Ivey issued via Twitter.
The total Alabama number of COVID-19 deaths in the state stands at three.
The state reports 4,755 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by state and private labs as of 10:30 a.m EST Friday. This number has not changed since Thursday.
However, private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
