Lee County now has 178 coronavirus cases. Here’s a breakdown of Alabama by county

Lee County, Alabama reported 178 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 3:30 p.m. EST Wednesday.

State health officials report there are now 2,427 confirmed cases statewide and 66 deaths related to the coronavirus. Five of the 45 deaths have been from Lee County.

There have been 467 tests done in the county, and 314 people have been hospitalized across the state due to coronavirus.

The state reports 18,982 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by state and private labs. This number is only reported daily and not in real-time, like the rest of Alabama’s numbers.

However, private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
