Over 950 coronavirus cases reported in Muscogee County, surrounding areas. Here’s a list

Muscogee County and its surrounding areas have 954 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, as of the 7 p.m. Tuesday update from Georgia’s Department of Public Health. That’s an increase of 22 cases since the noon update.

Muscogee County now reports 175 confirmed cases following the state’s 7 p.m. update.

Muscogee also ranks No. 15 statewide for total coronavirus cases. Sumter County is the only other local county that ranks higher (No. 9) with 269 total cases.

  • Troup 68

  • Dooly 51

  • Macon 47

  • Meriwether 24

  • Harris 23

  • Marion 17

  • Clay 16
  • Schley 12
  • Talbot 10

  • Taylor 9

  • Chattahoochee 5

  • Quitman 3

  • Webster 3

Georgia’s West-Central Health District covers 16 counties: Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Harris, Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor and Webster.

Troup and Meriwether counties are not in the West-Central Health District but because of proximity to Columbus, the Ledger-Enquirer will track those numbers as well.
