Coronavirus

Alabama reports over 4,000 coronavirus cases. Here’s a county-by-county breakdown.

Lee County, Alabama, reported 266 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 10:30 a.m. EST Wednesday.

State health officials report there are now 4,006 confirmed cases statewide and 116 deaths related to the coronavirus. Twelve of the 116 deaths have been from Lee County.

There have been 1,640 tests done in the county, and 525 people have been hospitalized across the state due to coronavirus.

The state reports 33,835 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by state and private labs. This number is only reported daily and not in real-time, like the rest of Alabama’s numbers.

However, private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
