Coronavirus

Alabama reports over 4,300 coronavirus cases. Here’s a county-by-county breakdown.

Lee County, Alabama, reported 292 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 4:30 p.m. EST Thursday.

State health officials report there are now 4,345 confirmed cases statewide and 133 deaths related to the coronavirus. Twelve of the 133 deaths have been from Lee County.

There have been 1,740 tests done in the county, and 553 people have been hospitalized across the state due to coronavirus.

The state reports 36,363 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by state and private labs. This number is only reported daily and not in real-time, like the rest of Alabama’s numbers.

However, private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
