Coronavirus

Alabama reports over 4,400 coronavirus cases. Here’s a county-by-county breakdown.

Lee County, Alabama, reported 294 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 10:30 a.m. EST Friday.

State health officials report there are now 4,404 confirmed cases statewide and 137 deaths related to the coronavirus. Twelve of the 137 deaths have been from Lee County.

There have been 1,839 tests done in the county, and 553 people have been hospitalized across the state due to coronavirus.

The state reports 37,848 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by state and private labs. This number is only reported daily and not in real-time, like the rest of Alabama’s numbers.

However, private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
