Alabama reports over 5,000 coronavirus cases. Here’s a county-by-county breakdown.
Lee County, Alabama, reported 317 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 10:30 a.m. EST Tuesday.
State health officials report there are now 5,134 confirmed cases statewide and 144 deaths related to the coronavirus. Fourteen of the 144 deaths have been from Lee County.
There have been 1,839 tests done in the county, and 699 people have been hospitalized across the state due to coronavirus.
The state reports 48,387 COVID-19 tests have been conducted by state and private labs. This number is only reported daily and not in real-time, like the rest of Alabama’s numbers.
However, private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
