The number of novel coronavirus cases in Alabama has now reached 6,943, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s 10:30 a.m. EST Thursday update.

The number of reported cases in Lee County has reached 386, while Russell County reports 55.

There have been 87,364 tests done statewide. Private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
