Lee, Russell counties have 5 new COVID-19 cases. Here’s totals for all Alabama counties.

The number of novel coronavirus cases in Alabama has now reached 7,345, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s 10:30 a.m. EST Saturday update.

The number of reported cases in Lee County increased by 2 to a total of 390, while Russell County reported 3 more cases with a total of 60.

There have been 91,933 tests done statewide. Private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.

The state reports 289 COVID-19-related deaths.
