Muscogee County and surrounding areas report over 1,700 coronavirus cases. Here’s a list.
Muscogee County and its surrounding areas have 1,713 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus as of the 7 p.m. Sunday update from Georgia’s Department of Public Health, up by 6 since noon.
There were 86 COVID-19-related deaths reported at noon in the 18-county area. That number did not increase in the 7 p.m. update.
Muscogee County reports 328 confirmed cases and 7 deaths as of 7 p.m.

Georgia’s West-Central Health District covers 16 counties: Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Harris, Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor and Webster.
Troup and Meriwether counties are not in the West-Central Health District but because of their proximity to Columbus, the Ledger-Enquirer will track those numbers as well.
