Where to take free COVID-19 test
Free COVID-19 testing is being offered at the Columbus Civic Center on 100 4th Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Free testing is also available at the Columbus Health Department on 2100 Comer Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
Smiths Station Government Center partially reopens with restrictions
The City of Smiths Station and Lee County Revenue Commissioner Satellite Office located at the Smiths Station Government Center will reopen to the public at 8:30 a.m. EST Tuesday. The Probate Judge Satellite Office will not reopen.
The following safety measures will be implemented to keep the employees and customers safe:
- A mask and gloves must be worn
- A no-contact temperature check is required before entering the building; anyone with a measured temperature of 100 degrees or higher will not be allowed.
- One customer per open service window at a time will be allowed to enter the building. Wait lines will be restricted to the outside of the building and separated by six feet.
