1,896 COVID-19 cases reported in Muscogee County area. Here’s a full list.
Muscogee County and its surrounding counties reported 1,896 cases of the new coronavirus as of the 1 p.m. Tuesday update from the Georgia Department of Public Health. There were 112 COVID-19 related deaths reported in the 18-county area.

Georgia’s West-Central Health District covers 16 counties: Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Harris, Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor and Webster.
Troup and Meriwether counties are not in the West-Central Health District but because of their proximity to Columbus, the Ledger-Enquirer will track those numbers as well.
Alabama
The number of novel coronavirus cases in Alabama has now reached 10,260, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s 1:30 p.m. EST Tuesday update.
The number of reported cases in Lee County stands at 430, while Russell County’s total stands at 81.
There have been 131,681 tests done statewide. Private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.
The state reports 428 COVID-19-related deaths Friday evening and 1,280 hospitalizations.
