The Georgia Department of Public Health reported over 51,300 COVID-19 cases in its 3 p.m. update Saturday. Here are some key takeaways:

  • Cases: 51,309 (+688 new cases in 24 hours)

  • Current hospitalizations: 788 (-2 from Friday)
  • Tests: 622,751. This number includes 99,894 antibody tests and 522,857 viral tests. However, these totals do not account for tests that are not reported through the state’s electronic lab reporting system.

  • Muscogee County reported 774 cases Saturday (+24 in 24 hours). Bibb County reported 503 (+1) cases Saturday. Fulton County (4,820) reports the highest number of cases in the state.
