Power outages hit north Columbus

Georgia Power is reporting a power outage in north Columbus in the Williams Road area just east and west of Interstate 185 affecting about 80 households and businesses.

The utility does not indicate the cause of the outage, but estimates power will be restored by 8:45 a.m.

There is a much smaller outage in the area of Whitesville Road south of Double Churches that affects only about five households and is expected to be restored by 8:30.
