Weather service warns of dense fog in the area
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a dense fog warning for east Alabama, including Phenix City, Auburn and Opelika.
A dense fog warning means that visibility is reduced to less than a quarter-mile, so driving precaution should be used.
The advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. EDT.
