Preliminary winners named on third night of ‘Miss Georgia’ pageant

The third-night preliminary winners were announced at the 73rd Annual Miss Georgia Pageant held Thursday at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.

Preliminary competitions included Lifestyle and Fitness, Talent, Evening Wear and earlier private interviews.

Miss Southeast Georgia, Alyssa Beasley, was the preliminary winner in Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimwear. Miss Paulding County, Michaela Heide, and Miss Conyers Cherry Blossom, Brooke Doss, were preliminary winners in the talent category.

In the Outstanding Teen competition, Miss Stone Mountain Yellow Daisy, Kassie Todd, was the preliminary winner in Evening Wear and On-stage Question. Miss Acworth, Rayven Bailey, and Miss International City, Annie Swan, were reliminary talent winners.

The final nights of the competition, which includes 99 women from across the state, are Friday, June 16, for 2017 Outstanding Teen, and Saturday, June 17, when Miss Georgia will be crowned. The winners will represent Georgia at the Miss America and Miss America Outstanding Teen competitions in the fall.
