CSU: Man arrested after trying to burglarize cars at campus police station
Columbus State University police arrested Stephen Christopher Hamilton of Columbus after he allegedly tried to break into cars at the campus police station.
Hamilton “was observed attempting to enter several vehicles,” CSU announced in a news release. “Once confronted, he fled the scene but was apprehended in a wooded area near Plant Operations along Lindsay Creek.”
CSU police charged Hamilton with criminal attempt burglary, loitering and criminal trespass. He isn’t a student or employee at the university, the news release says.
