Fort Benning will auction off a dump truck, Baldwin piano, hotdog station and other items at one of three big sales this September. All events are open to the public.

The first is a sealed bid auction Sept. 13 and 14 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. It will be held at 7701 Prussman Street.

Items up for sale include three vans, a dump truck, two stakebed trucks, a Baldwin piano, a rotary tiller, field liner, dirt doctor, hotdog station and rake attachment. More items could be added later. Sealed bids will be opened Sept. 15. There will be no preview days.

The second is a general used merchandise sale (not an auction), Sept. 19-20 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. It will also be held at 7702 Prussman Street.

Merchandise for sale includes furniture, appliances, cookware, basketball goals, gym equipment and more. It will be open only to active duty and retired military and their families until 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 19, after which it is open top the public.

Cash, Mastercard and Visa, debit, and a check with a bank note are accepted at those two events.

The last is the annual Fort Benning Flea Market on Sept. 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stillwell Field on Main Post. It is held in conjunction with a post-wide yard sale day, so thousands of shoppers are expected. There is no admission fee to shop, and the market is still seeking off-post vendors who want to sell merchandise.
