Columbus Council reschedules regular meeting to 3 p.m. Tuesday
A Columbus Council meeting originally set for Tuesday morning will be held at 3 p.m. instead.
City officials rescheduled the meeting in the wake of the storm, limiting the agenda to time-sensitive matters.
The Public Agenda, where citizens normally address councilors , has been canceled.
The meeting will be held at the City Service Center, 3111 Citizens Way. Here are some items still on the agenda:
- A Tax Assessor’s Update on Property Assessments
- The second reading of an ordinance amendment concerning the levy, assessment and collection of taxes for the Muscogee County School District.
- A resolution appointing Julius H. Hunter, Jr. to a four-year term as full-time Chief Judge of Recorder's Court.
