LaGrange workers helping with Hurricane Irma cleanup in Key West
Four men who work for the city of LaGrange, Ga., are in Key West, Fla., helping with the Hurricane Irma cleanup.
According to a report from the City of LaGrange, the four are Josh Bryant, Alan Potter, Tommy Powell and James Hembree.
A fifth, C.J. Moore, has also been working in Florida since last week.
The city is a part of the Electric Cities of Georgia and FEMA requested help from the ECG.
The men worked in Fort Valley, Ga., and Monticello, Ga.
They have also been in Winter Park, Fla.
In the news release, City of LaGrange Electric Superintendent Jay Bartlett said he is proud of the crew.
“The guys are always willing to face extreme conditions to restore power within our city and any other electric provider that needs assistance,” Bartlett said.
