Courtrooms at the Columbus Government Center will shut down on a rotating basis to permit upgrades and repairs to the building's heating system over the next few weeks.

Superior Court Chief Judge Gil McBride said changes will begin next week for an extended period.

“Court will continue to function as scheduled during this process; however, we will be operating with a reduced number of courtrooms,” he wrote in a statement to the Ledger-Enquirer. “For the next few weeks, all courtrooms will operate and be utilized according to a strict calendar, which may require less flexibility to accommodate late starts and delays.”

“It will be really important to pay attention to location information posted around the building or on dockets and notices,” McBride added. “If in doubt, visitors should ask bailiffs, deputies and other staff.”
