WLTZ news anchor Mallory Hagan, a former Miss America, will speak in Auburn University’s Women of Distinction Lecture Series.

Hagan will speak on Oct. 10 in a program titled “Make Courage Your Brand.”

The free public event is at 3 p.m. in the Caroline Marshall Draughon auditorium of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.

The lecture series is part of the celebration of 125 years of women at Auburn University.

An Opelika, Ala. native, Hagan is a graduate of Opelika High School and The Fashion Institute of Technology. She won the title of Miss America in 2013, competing as Miss New York, on a platform of child sexual abuse awareness and prevention.
