This local business wants you to exchange Halloween candy for toys and give troops a treat

“Operation Troop Treats’ encourages children to bring their Halloween candy to a Kool Smiles dental office in exchange for toys.

All donated candy will be sent in care packages to U.S. service members staioned overseas.

A local Kool Smiles office is at 4519 Woorduff Road and candy will be collected Oct. 28- Nov. 4.

In 2016, children donated more than four tons of candy through the program.

Every child who donates 25 pieces of unopened candy in its original packaging will receive a toy. There is a limit of three toys per child.

In addition to candy collected, Kool Smiles is donating 200 dental kits for deployed U.S. troops.
