Man leaves more than $21,000 to LaGrange animal shelter

A LaGrange man has left a donation of $21,400 to the City of LaGrange Animal Shelter.

According to the press release from the city, Keith Wells died Sept. 25 at age 88.

He most recently lived at Vernon Woods

Originally from Sibley, Iowa, Wells worked for Milliken and Interface in LaGrange.

A check was presented Monday by his friends Terry Page and Steve Fondren.

Accepting the donation were LaGrange Mayor Jim Thornton and City Manager Meg Kelsey.
