One dead at Columbus pawn shop
Columbus police are investigating a death Wednesday afternoon at the Columbus Pawn Shop at 2241 Fort Benning Road, Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton said.
The individual was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:30 p.m. The cause and manner of death remains under investigation.
There are eight marked and two unmarked Columbus police vehicles on the scene. The door on the side of the building is heavily damaged. No further details are available at this time.
