Mark your calendar for these holiday events throughout the Chattahoochee Valley

As the holidays approach, there are dozens of events throughout the Chattahoochee Valley to take part in. Whether it’s a tree lighting, pictures with Santa or a parade, here’s a list of what to do this holiday season in Columbus and Phenix City.

2019 Annual Davis Broadcasting Children’s Christmas Party

Davis Broadcasting will be hosting their 34th Annual Children’s Christmas Party on Dec. 14 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Every child 12 years and under that attends will be able to receive a bike or a toy, thanks to the donations from Davis Broadcasting’s annual 24 hour Radiothon.

The event is free and open to the public and children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Christmas Carnival at Moon Lake

The Martin-Idle Hour Park in Phenix City will be host to a Christmas carnival on Dec. 14 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Parking and admission for the event is free, but carnival rides cost $5 and food trucks will have various pricing.

According to the event’s Facebook page, there will be pony rides, vintage carnival rides and games, as well as a small business expo.

The park is located at 3743 Moon Lake Drive.

Let’s Dance Y’all Christmas Gala

The Let’s Dance Y’all of Columbus, Georgia non profit dance club will be having their annual Christmas Gala event on Dec. 16. The doors for the annual event located at 2236 Warm Springs Road will open at 6:30 p.m. and anybody interested in participating in the event is asked to bring some sort of food along with them.

Admission is $5 to enjoy food, fun, fellowship and, of course, dancing. According to Len Clegg, the founder for the club, attire for the event is dressy causal.

“For gentlemen, a tie is not required but may be worn. Ladies may be in a gown, party dress, or favorite holiday outfit,” Clegg said in a press release. “Just come and have fun.”

The event last from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
