Seale man dies in Alabama highway crash on Christmas Eve
A Seale man was killed in a car wreck on a Alabama highway on Christmas Eve.
Glenn Eugene Franco, 68, was pronounce dead at the scene after the two-vehicle crash around 4 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 431 at the intersection of Uchee Hill Highway, approximately five miles south of Phenix City, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a press release.
Franco was driving a 2017 Kia Soul, which collided with a 1997 Ford Mustang, according to the ALEA. The driver of the Ford was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
Wednesday afternoon, Alabama State Trooper Michael Carswell told the Ledger-Enquirer that the Ford driver’s injuries aren’t life threatening and the crash still is under investigation.
“It does not appear any charges will result from this traffic crash,” he said.
