‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ author is coming to Columbus. Here’s how you can see her.

Thomasville, Georgia, native and New York Times best selling author Delia Owens will be making two stops in Columbus this January.

According to the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries website, Owens will be headlining the annual fundraising gala for the Muscogee County Library Foundation Founder’s Society as well as speaking at a free lunchtime event the week of Jan. 20. Owens is the author of “Where the Crawdads Sing,” a novel that simultaneously tells the story of both a young girl growing up and a murder investigation.

The book has won numerous awards and was Amazon’s best selling book in the fiction category in 2019, according to Publishers Weekly.

The lunchtime event starts at 11 a.m. Jan. 24. It is free and no ticket or registration is required. Owens will be signing autographs after she speaks.

Both events will be held at the Columbus Public Library, 3000 Macon Road.
