Valentine’s Day shooting leaves woman dead, man injured in LaGrange

LaGrange police have arrested a man in a Valentine’s Day shooting that left one woman dead and one man injured.

Andreco Parham has been arrested and charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to police. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. Friday.

According to a press release, LaGrange police officers were dispatched to the area of Union Street and Ware Street upon reports of a shooting. When police arrived, they found Ronald Turner and Patricia Underwood suffering from gunshot wounds.

Underwood died at the scene, and Turner was taken to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

After a dispute involving several people in the area, Parham returned with a gun, police said after an initial investigation.

According to police, Turner was shot in the shoulder in the roadway while standing near his vehicle.

One of the rounds aimed at Turner struck a business on the 200 block of Half Union Street and hit Underwood, which caused her death, according to the press release. Parham fled the scene and, according to police, was later apprehended.
