Columbus riders among most forgetful cities across the nation, according to Uber

Uber recently ranked Columbus in the top 10 nationwide for most forgetful cities, according to their recently released Uber Lost and Found index.

The index calculates what kinds of items Uber passengers leave behind, as well as the times and days of the week they tend to leave things behind.

According to Uber, Columbus is No. 8 in the country for most forgetful passengers, with Tallahassee, Florida, and Fayetteville, North Carolina, rounding out the top 10. Lubbock, Texas, is the No. 1 forgetful city in the country, according to the index.

The most commonly forgotten items are pretty expected, such as a driver’s license, headphones or a phone, but there are some more unique items in the index such as:

  • A bubble machine

  • An oxygen tank

  • Swarovski binoculars

  • Bag of wigs

  • A Ouija board

Items are most commonly forgotten on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as during late nights any day of the week. According to Uber, people are most forgetful at 6 p.m., 11 p.m. and midnight.
