Over 600 people left without power near Fort Benning because of equipment error

A power outage off Fort Benning Road and Hwy. 280 left 682 people without power this morning.

Allison Gregory, a spokesperson for Georgia Power, said there was an equipment error in a substation that led to the outage, which lasted a couple of hours.

“Everybody is back on now and the issue has been resolved,” Gregory said around 10:30 a.m.
