Here’s the latest update on recycling collection, drop-off sites around Columbus

The City of Columbus is reinstating recycling pick-up in June after suspending the service for over a month due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Starting Monday, June 1, both recycling and non-green bulk collection services will resume on their regularly scheduled days, according to a press release from the city.

Recycling drop-off sites will be available starting Friday. There are five in the Columbus area, according to the Public Works website:

  • Victory Drive Recycling Center, near the Shell Gas Station located at 2218 Victory Drive
  • Columbus Recycling Center, located at 8001 Pine Grove Way

  • Sacerdote Lane Recycle Bins, located near Animal Ark at 7133 Sacerdote Lane

  • The Welcome Center Recycling Bins, located at 1751 Williams Road

  • Cooper Creek Recycling Bins, located inside of Cooper Creek Park at 5089 Cooper Creek Road

Household garbage will be collected on its regularly scheduled day. The City of Columbus suspended recycling and yard waste on March 27, in an effort to help flatten the coronavirus curve.
