Two dead and two injured in Thursday evening car crash near Fort Mitchell

Two people are dead and two more are injured after a crash Thursday night on State Route 208 near Fort Mitchell, Alabama.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of State Route 165, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. After the initial impact, one vehicle struck a building, and the driver Adrian Hillin, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His injured passengers, Kenzie Hillin of Annabella, Utah, and a juvenile, were transported to a local hospital.

The other driver, Stacy L. James, 50, of Fort Mitchell, was pronounced dead after being taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital.

The crash occurred in the Cottonton community, about 10 miles south of Fort Mitchell.

Authorities said no other information was available Friday, but the Alabama Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
