Funeral and visitation arrangements scheduled for Shaw football coach Al Pellegrino

Funeral arrangements are set to memorialize Al Pellegrino, the Shaw High School head football coach and athletics director who unexpectedly died Monday at 56 while on vacation in Orlando, Florida.

The funeral will be conducted June 6, starting at 11 a.m., in Cascade Hills Church, 727 54th St., Columbus, preceded by visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m., Muscogee County School District athletics director Jeff Battles announced Wednesday.

A repast will be hosted at Shaw High School after the funeral.
