Shooting at Kings Mountain Court leaves one dead

Columbus Police are asking the community for information on a shooting at 6:31 p.m. on September 3 at Kings Mountain Apartment complex.

Responding patrol officers found Jaelon Langley lying in the backyard with gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital, where a doctor claimed Langley was dead.

The Columbus Police Department Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation.
