Early morning crash on Victory Drive in Columbus leaves one person dead

One person is dead following a Wednesday morning crash on Victory Drive near Morgan Street in Columbus.
A vehicle was traveling west on Victory Drive when it struck a pedestrian around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the Columbus Police Department.
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Nyteisha Adeogun. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:40 by Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
